Creative Arts Therapist and Group Wellness Practice business owner, international speaker and media contributor on mental health through the arts, and creator of the Create Your Dream Business™ Course.
I'm a clinically licensed mental health counselor and Board Certified Trainer in Drama Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy, and for the past ten years, I have been hustlin' to build multiple businesses into thriving organizations.
I've helped people across the world accomplish mental health through the arts with live trainings, counseling services, online programs and a community of like-minded wellness warriors. And, since growing my own business, I started helping other wellness-focused entrepreneurs do the same.
But at one point I was just like you—I was just starting off.
Back then, I didn't know anything about running a company. I began my earlier career working in psychiatric hospitals, arts organizations and community mental health agencies. So when I decided it was time for me to make a change and start my own business, I was just as confused and overwhelmed (and scared!) as you are right now.
There was a lot of sweat and tears at the beginning. There were a lot mistakes and missteps. There was a lot of trial and error. There were a lot of times I doubted myself or my ability to pay for my space, let alone pay myself. And there were a lot of times I wasn't sure what I was doing.
I've learned A LOT since then!
Now, my business is more successful than I ever imagined it would be, and growing more and more each day. Today, instead of commuting to an office, I travel freely and work from anywhere: most recently New York, Montreal, LA, and my home in Chicago. I get to do what I love, spend more time with my family, and come and go as I please. I get to work with a fabulous team of strong women and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
