THE LOGISTICS

CHECK-IN

 

Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 5:30PM CST check-in time. Programming will begin promptly at 6:00PM CST. Rooms will not be reserved, and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

ACCOMMODATIONS

New location from last year, and this one is bigger, better and much more baller!

 

The RYPP Retreat will be in a 3,500 square-foot lake house in Union Pier, MI with spectacular lake views, breathtaking sunsets and is truly a one-of-a-kind experience! Fully rehabbed high-end kitchen with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, a premium 6 burner/double oven range, and multipurpose microwave/oven. Completely restored the beautiful original floors, brand new furniture in all common areas and around the pool deck, and recently installed deluxe fire pit complete with new Adirondack chairs for your campfire fun. There's also enhanced WiFi, and upgraded charging stations in each room.

There are 13 bedrooms (yes, you read that right) with 10 bathrooms -- plenty of room for each individual or mini group of friends to have their own bedroom. There's also 6 common area rooms that each have seating for 6 -16 people. The Pool Deck also has seating for over 24, and the Fire Pit seats 12.

MEALS

All meals will be provided.  If you have any allergy or religious restrictions, please let us know.

DINING

There's plenty to do within walking distance of this home. Located in Union Pier (near New Buffalo) in beautiful southwest Michigan, Lake Michigan Reunion & Retreats is a 10 minute walk to Lake Michigan, 20 minutes from Warren Dunes State Park, and within 30 minutes of championship golf courses, antique shops, local vineyards, farmers’ markets, craft breweries, great restaurants, outlet malls, casinos and coffee shops.

We will most likely be dining at one of these lovely establishments for a night out on Saturday.

ACTIVITIES

Take a break from your hard work. Enjoy some activities or some just plain fun. Explore the grounds, enjoy the pool and hot tub, relax by the outdoor and indoor fireplaces, walk over to the lake, or get to know your fellow participants better. You deserve to relax and enjoy life.

CREDIT HOURS THROUGH NBCC

Center for Creative Arts Therapy has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7460. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Center for Creative Arts Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

This program provides 20 NBCC hours.

MORE ABOUT THE RETREAT

COVID

At this point in time no masks or vaccination cards are required for this event; however the policy will be reviewed prior to the event as accordance to state and national law, and hotel requirements. Spacing will be arranged with some separation between seats to the best abilities of the lake house to accommodate social distancing. RYPP Retreat staff are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. As policies and laws change, there is a possibility that this event may require all attendees and staff to wear masks inside shared spaces and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You may be asked to provide your vaccination card during the registration process. We will continue to monitor any changes, and communicate them to all attendees in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS

NO TRANSFERS.

REFUNDS: 50% refund before January 1, 2024, 25% refund before February 1, 2024 no refunds or exchanges after February 1, 2024.
